Annual Holland College School of Visual Arts Showcase 

Unpredictable elements and circumstances are at the heart of creative work—and of life itself. For visual thinkers and problem solvers, chaos isn’t an obstacle, but a catalyst: it inspires bold risks, fresh perspectives, and unexpected breakthroughs. This year, students let their imaginations run wild, gathering a cross-section of locations, emotions, objects, time periods, and colours. Instructors then drew from this list of possibilities and, using chance, assigned each student a blend of six attributes as creative guidelines. Every student embarked on a one-of-a-kind creative adventure, weaving unexpected hues and themes into their final artwork. Discover how soon-to-be graduates embraced chaos and made it their own.

The graduating students from Holland College’s Fundamental Arts, Graphic Design, Photography and Videography, and Video Game Art and Animation programs invite you to attend the opening reception on April 16 from 3-5 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the artwork and engage with faculty and students from the programs.
