Viking River Cruise Raffle Terms and Conditions

About the Lottery

The “Viking River Cruise Raffle” Lottery presented by VIKING and CAA (hereafter “the Lottery”) is coordinated by Confederation Centre of the Arts (official charity name: Fathers of Confederation Buildings Trust) as a fundraising activity to allow the pursuit of projects of benefit for citizens of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and all of Canada as the country’s national memorial to Confederation.

Lottery proceeds will support youth programming and education in visual and performing arts; the development of new theatrical works; exhibition, programming and publications in the Art Gallery; and heritage programming.

General Rules

By entering this Lottery, the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these official rules and regulations. All decisions of Confederation Centre of the Arts with respect to any aspect of this Lottery, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Lottery.

A maximum of 1000 tickets will be offered for sale, providing the chance to win one prize as outlined below. The odds of winning will depend upon the number of tickets sold and the total number of eligible entries purchased by each individual during the Lottery sale period.

The Prize

Total prize value is approximately $17,000 CAD. Winner is not entitled to the difference, if any, between stated approximate value and actual retail value at the time the prize is awarded. Prize must be accepted as awarded unless otherwise specified. No cash surrender value.

  • Valid for one French D cabin, double occupancy, cruise only
  • Voyage includes an 8-day European river cruise, included meals, shore excursions and tours
  • Airfare, transfers, land extensions, cruise tours and Christmas Market itineraries are not included/provided by Viking Cruise
  • Not transferable; no credit will be issued for cruise fares of lesser value; value may not be exchanged for cash
  • Valid on available 2026 or 2027 embarkations only. Blackout dates may apply
  • Not combinable with any other offer or Future Cruise Voucher
  • Subject to stateroom availability
  • Must make reservations within 120 days prior to departure
  • Additional add-ons such as air, transfers, and hotels are only payable by credit card
  • Round trip economy airfare for two (2) departing from Halifax Stanfield International Airport valued up to $4,500 CAD
  • Trip must depart before December 31, 2027
  • Travel must be booked at least 60 days prior to departure date
  • The Prize will be remitted to the winner in the form of a travel certificate, subject to the terms and conditions of its issuer
  • The Prize may not be used towards any type of frequent flyer mileage or reward point accumulation program

Winner Responsibilities

The Prize winner and the travelling companion are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein, including but not limited to: taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, meals and beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance, required travel documentation, all personal expenses, and any overnight layover.

It is the sole responsibility of the Prize winner and the travelling companion to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas, and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements. It is recommended that both obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure.

Departure dates and accommodation are subject to availability and change without notice or compensation. No change in travel arrangements can be made by the Prize winner once their booking has been confirmed.

Ticket Eligibility

  • Tickets available for purchase to those 19 years of age or older, exclusively through Confederation Centre of the Arts
  • Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor
  • Tickets must be purchased within Prince Edward Island in person or online
  • Tickets are available to non-residents of PEI provided the purchase transaction takes place in person within the province
  • Tickets can be purchased up until 7:30 p.m. on September 26, 2026

Ineligible Participants

Board members, committee members, and employees of Confederation Centre of the Arts, the Confederation Centre of the Arts Foundation, Viking Cruises, and CAA — as well as their spouses and any dependent household members — are not eligible to purchase, hold, or enter the lottery draw.

The Draw

  • Winner will be selected through a random draw from all eligible entries during the Lottery sale period
  • The draw will take place at Confederation Centre on September 26, 2026
  • Ticket holders do not need to be present to win
  • If the venue is closed due to weather or unexpected facility problems, the draw will be held September 28, 2026
  • All winners’ names and prizes won will be posted on Confederation Centre’s social media
  • If the prize is not claimed by December 31, 2026, a new winner will be drawn

Privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this Lottery.

Theatre/Event Tickets

Services Charges
A service charge of $6 is applied to each theatre ticket. This fee includes HST and assists with the everyday operation of the box office.

Exchanges/ Refunds

  • Returns: All ticket purchases are final sale. We do not issue refunds or credit.
  • Exchanges: Tickets may be exchanged to another date/time of the same production up until one (1) business day prior to the performance. These exchanges are based on availability and subject to a $6 service fee per ticket. Call our Box Office directly at 1-800-565-0278 to request an exchange. Please be aware that the price of individual tickets can vary performance-to-performance. Additional charges may apply.
  • Rescheduled performances: If a performance is rescheduled, ticketholders can use their original tickets for the new date/time. Ticketholders who are unable to attend the new date/time may request a full refund to the original form of payment, an account credit for value of the tickets, or to donate all or part of the value to Confederation Centre and receive a personal tax receipt.
  • Cancelled Performances: If a performance is cancelled, ticketholders can choose to receive a full refund to the original form of payment, an account credit for value of the tickets, or to donate all or part of the value to Confederation Centre and receive a personal tax receipt.

Third Party Resellers
Confederation Centre is not responsible for tickets purchased from resellers or any third-party seller.  Confederation Centre is unable to provide support to tickets not purchased directly through our website or Box Office; and reserves the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.

Babes in Arms
Children 12 months and younger may attend at no cost. Children over the age of 12 months require a paid ticket.

A Friendly Reminder 
To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, latecomers will not be seated until there is a suitable break in the performance. For the comfort of guests with allergies, please do not wear fragrances in our theatres. The use of cameras, video cameras, and sound recording devices is prohibited in our theatres. Please turn off all cellular phones and pagers before entering the theatre.

 

Walking Tours

Services Charges

Arts Education

By registering your child or yourself in a Confederation Centre Camp or Class you give consent and approval for the participation of the child in the Confederation Centre Camp or Class and certify that they are physically fit to take part in all activities. Further, you do hereby waive, release, and forever discharge said organization and its staff from all claims for damages occurring, injury, or loss of personal property during their participation.

Please be advised that all camps or classes may be documented by photos and video. Photographs may be used for marketing and publicity purposes.

Tracking and Use of Cookies 
Special computer code allows Confederation Centre Online to track user activity on our site. This computer code, when implemented, is called a “cookie.” We use cookie technology through our localization options. When you “choose your language” to view the site a cookie will be stored on your computer that keeps (only) your language preference for 15 days. When you “get tickets” at the Box Office Online, a cookie will assign you a unique number (with no meaning whatsoever outside the customization process) that recalls this information while you are browsing. This cookie expires after you close your browser window. At no time will these cookies reveal to others your name, e-mail address, street address, or telephone number (even if you have entered these in other areas of Confederation Centre Web Site). You will always have the choice of opting out of any cookie-based activity on our site.
