Symons Medal Presentation and Lecture

Awarded annually since 2004, the Symons Medal is awarded by the Confederation Centre to an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to Canadian life. The medal presentation and its associated lecture offer a national platform for the recipient to share their views and vision about the current state and future prospects of Canadian Confederation.

Inaugural Director starts May 4, 2026

The Confederation Centre of the Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Collins as Director of the Palmer Institute for Canadian Leadership, ushering in a new chapter for the Centre’s national leadership programming.
