Singer-songwriter Dustin Dale Gaspard extends the boundaries of Louisiana music. Gaspard is known for his blend of folk, soul, and Americana influences. After 10 years of performing throughout the deep Southern Gulf Coast of the United States, Gaspard released his full-length debut album Hoping Heaven Got A Kitchen in March 2022. His blend of Americana, soul, folk, and roots gained Grammy consideration for Best American Roots Performance, American Roots Song, and Best Americana Album. Written for his grandparents, the record is described as a “prayer to his home,” delivering an intimate insight into the Cajun native’s varied musical influences.

Gaspard’s latest project, Avec Le Courant, is a banjo-driven bilingual story album detailing the journey of his Acadian ancestors and their exile. This original work once again combines Americana with a variety of genres including traditional folk, blues, and contemporary songwriter elements, while heavily incorporating the Cajun French language.

At the end of summer 2024, Gaspard toured up the coast of North America, returning the songs to their place of origin and inspiration in the Canadian Maritimes. While there, he further developed his knowledge of the French language, writing songs and studying at Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia. He also performed at Acadian-focused events including Festival Route 11 (Prince Edward Island), Acadie Rock (New Brunswick), and made a brief appearance with Salebarbes during the Congrès Mondial Acadien in 2024.
