Home Canada Connects

WHERE CANADA CONNECTS

It’s more than a venue. It’s where Canada connects.

In 1867 a few provinces united in Confederation, forming what we now know as Canada.

Today, Confederation Centre of the Arts explores the legacy of Confederation and what it means to be Canadian, and hosts positive, inclusive dialogues on where our nation is heading. It’s also Atlantic Canada’s premier destination for music, theatre, art, and much more.

Shared Voices Campaign

After 60 years, a revitalization of our southern pavilion into a cultural leadership institute is underway, a first in Canada to blend an Arts Innovation Hub, an Arts Academy, and ongoing events around Canadian identity through the arts and discussion.

Symons Medal Presentation and Lecture

For 20 years, this national award has provided an annual platform for all Canadians to reflect upon their country and its future.

Charlottetown Forum

A newly established event that brings the public together with industry leaders from the arts, business, and government to convene for discussions on matters of importance to Canadians.

“Confederation Centre for the Arts has always been a place of inspiration and connection. A lively venue for the sharing of our stories, historical, and contemporary, and imagined. A place where we can come together to talk about who we are, where we’re at, and how we will create a brilliant future. Where we rejoice in the arts and in dialogue that will make us think, talk with each other, listen to each other and celebrate culture in all its forms.”
