Confederation Centre is pleased to welcome singer-songwriter Kevin Parent as the first concert of the 2018-19 Sobeys LIVE @ the Centre season. The songwriter will be on stage in the Sobey Gallery of the Confederation Centre Art Gallery on Tuesday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m.
A JUNO Award and Felix-Award winner, Parent entertains in both French and English. Armed with his guitars, a harmonica, and a head full of stories, the Québecois star is touring songs from his new album Kanji, as well as some of his greatest hits. Since his debut as a songwriter in 1995, Parent has released many albums, two of which achieved multi-platinum status and his songs regularly dominate Quebec’s Top 40 lists.
Parent has also starred in such TV and film as Café de Flore, Toute la vérité, La maison du pêcheur, and L’Or du golfe. He was the guest star of the Radio-Canada TV show La petite séduction, which filmed in Charlottetown in spring 2017.
Parent was amazed by the city and its population, but he also charmed the Island population with his charisma, humility, and his songs. Check out the full episode here, courtesy of La petite seduction, (season 9, episode 12.)
Tickets for Parent’s show cost $25 and are on sale online or at the Confederation Centre Box Office. They are also available at the door, the evening of the performance.
