The Festival welcomes tens of thousands of patrons annually from across the country and around the world.

“This season celebrates two stories that speak deeply to the Canadian spirit. Anne Shirley’s journey has inspired audiences for generations, while Come From Away reminds us of the kindness and compassion that can emerge in extraordinary times. We are thrilled to welcome such an outstanding group of artists to share these stories with audiences in Charlottetown.”

— Adam Brazier, Artistic Director

Anne of Green Gables — The Musical™

Select dates June 25 – Sept 5

Making her Charlottetown Festival debut, Berkley Silverman will step into the title role of ‘Anne Shirley’ in Anne of Green Gables—The Musical™. Silverman is widely recognized for her stage and screen work and for voicing ‘Everest’ in the popular animated series Paw Patrol. The season’s company also includes a number of returning Festival favourites, including Jessica Gallant, Andrew McAllister, Laurie Murdoch, Catherine O’Brien, and Kristen Pottle, alongside several performers making their first appearance at the Festival. Almost a dozen company members will appear in both productions, reflecting the collaborative, repertory spirit that has long been a hallmark of the Charlottetown Festival.

“Each summer, the Charlottetown Festival welcomes tens of thousands of Islanders and visitors from across Canada and beyond to experience live theatre on Prince Edward Island. With more than one hundred and fifty performances to choose from this season, the Festival continues a proud tradition of bringing exceptional artists together to share stories that resonate deeply with audiences.”

— Steve Bellamy, CEO of Confederation Centre of the Arts

Based on the beloved novel by L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables—The Musical™ continues its long tradition as the Charlottetown Festival’s flagship production.
