Victoria Row & South Pavilion Update: Mass Timber Arrives and Exterior Cladding Begins
Work is progressing steadily along Victoria Row and inside the South Pavilion, with major milestones now visible from both the street and within the building. From new structural elements arriving on site to the start of exterior cladding installation, the project continues to take shape.
Highlights this update:
Revamp underway at the Victoria Row service access and loading dock
New Victoria Row entrance area progressing with exposed structure and new steel framing
Exterior terracotta panel installation has begun
Mass timber structure delivered from British Columbia
Rehearsal hall and event space interior continues to take shape
Installation of the exterior terracotta panels is now underway. These durable panels contribute to the building’s long-term performance while also allowing the Centre to maintain its distinctive architectural character.

The interior of the rehearsal hall and event space continues to take shape, with the scale and warmth of the space now clearly visible.
Delivery of the mass timber structure. Mass timber is a highly sustainable building material. It is renewable, stores carbon rather than emitting it, and has a significantly lower environmental footprint compared to traditional steel or concrete construction. Its use reflects our commitment to responsible, climate-conscious design.
