Vince the Messenger

| Outdoor Amphitheatre
Rapper Daniel Butterfield—aka Vince The Messenger—is one of Charlottetown’s newest and most influential musicians in the Island’s hip-hop scene. His award-winning music has been characterized for its philosophical drive and focus on social issues and empowerment. His style carries underlying elements of golden era hip-hop but brings a refreshing, abstract feeling and approach to this familiar sound.

Vince The Messenger took home Urban Recording of the Year at the 2019 Music PEI Awards for his debut full-length album Self Sabotage, and was also nominated for New Artist of the Year. Vince regularly releases new music and plans to continue "spitting out meaningful lyrics and turning heads" (The Buzz).

Tickets available to the public Wednesday July 22.

A waitlist will be available if tickets sell out. To reserve you spot on the list call the Box Office at 903-566-1267, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

What are Relaxed Performances?

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.

Relaxed Performances offered during the 2021 Charlottetown Festival:
  • I agree to receive further communications from Confederation Centre of the Arts for upcoming events, promotions and market research purposes.
