Four Island stories woven together through a collection of songs and observations about life on the Island. We travel down the red dirt road of Prince Edward Island, and on the way, collect impressions and images of the people who live there, like the colourful patchwork pieces of a quilt.
Compelling, poignant, and often very funny, the stories and songs introduce a collection of unique and lively characters who each, in their way, persevere, overcome, and ultimately make the choice to hope, forgive, and give back to the world. Drawn from different time periods and with different textures and qualities, the characters we meet along the road come alive through these stories and songs – creating a colourful and joyful patchwork of Islanders and Island life.
