Cinema Under the Stars: Knives Out

Join the City of Charlottetown in partnership with Confederation Centre of the Arts for Cinema Under the Stars. Feature five nights of FREE family-friendly movies at the Confederation Centre of the Arts outdoor amphitheatre.

Due to COVID-19, capacity is limited for each movie screening and a free ticket is required to attend. Pre-reserved tickets are currently sold out; however, walk-up tickets will also be available nightly at the entrance on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Important Show Information
  • Doors open 30 minutes prior to the movie
  • Seating will be pre-assigned in advance by CCOA staff based on tickets reserved on each order.  Please remain in your assigned seats for the show.
  • All patrons need to be in their seats 15 minutes prior to showtime. Any seats not occupied at that time will be reassigned to others waiting.
  • Please observe directional signage and practice social distancing at all times.
  • The entrance to the movie is Richmond Street
  • No kit bags or large bags are permitted.
  • No pets are allowed except service animals.
  • Patrons can reserve a maximum of up to SIX tickets per movie.
  • Seating will be pre-arranged in groups of up to six based on the number of seats reserved. Patrons will only be seated with their party.
  • The seating will be staggered and spread out six feet from other parties.
  • It is recommended that individuals bring something soft to sit on like a pillow, blanket, or cushion.

 

Knives Out

The circumstances surrounding the death of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey are mysterious, but there’s one thing that renowned Detective Benoit Blanc knows for sure – everyone in the wildly dysfunctional Thrombey family is a suspect. Now, Blanc must sift through a web of lies and red herrings to uncover the truth. From acclaimed writer-director Rian Johnson comes this suspenseful, twist-filled whodunnit with an all-star ensemble cast including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Michael Shannon, Jaeden Martell, and more.

What are Relaxed Performances?

 

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.
