“My goal for this tour was to play for as many fans as possible. I was so thankful with the response my team got from cities and towns across Canada. Unfortunately, we just didn’t have enough time to fit all the dates into my schedule,” says Kissel. “I told my agent ‘we just have to organize Part 2 of this tour, so we can hit all the spots we missed in the (winter) of 2018.’ It seems like we’ve now made this one of…the most extensive tours in Canadian music history!”

Brett received the Canadian Independent Music Association Road Gold Award for Part 1 of the tour, recognizing a high level of achievement during a touring period, which sits on Kissel’s mantle beside his single, ‘Cool with That,’ which certified Gold this past winter.

Kissel owned the stage from the moment he was introduced. With an impossibly wide smile and a genuine joy being on stage that radiates through every song, it’s very hard not to like the Canadian-born phenom.Star Phoenix

What are Relaxed Performances?

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.

Relaxed Performances offered during the 2021 Charlottetown Festival:
  • I agree to receive further communications from Confederation Centre of the Arts for upcoming events, promotions and market research purposes.
