Annual Artist Trading Cards Event

| Memorial Hall
The Art Gallery is looking for artists of all ages and disciplines, professional and non-professional, to register for its annual Artists Trading Cards event. Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature works of art. They can be created with any material imaginable. The registration deadline is Friday, July 9!

Cards can be produced in editions (a limited number of the same card), series (a set of cards with a unifying theme), or as singular originals. The main requirement is the size: cards MUST be the same size as modern baseball cards or 2 ½ x 3 ½ inches (6 x 9 cm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. ATCs must be self-produced. The artist’s name and contact information, as well as the card title and the edition or series number, are to be written on the back.

Free
Required

The annual trading event will be held on Thursday, August 12 at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall to allow for social distancing. Details on the evening’s program will be announced at a later date. Should there be a change in the COVID-19 situation, participants will be informed of the updated format.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and we kindly ask that you inform organizers if you can no longer participate in the event as a waiting list is expected. For more information or to register, please contact Monique Lafontaine by email at moniquel@confederationcentre.com or call 902-393-1713.

What are Relaxed Performances?

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.

Relaxed Performances offered during the 2021 Charlottetown Festival:
  • I agree to receive further communications from Confederation Centre of the Arts for upcoming events, promotions and market research purposes.
