The Centre for All Canadians

Homburg Theatre

An excellent performance venue, the Homburg Theatre offers seating for 1,100. If it’s a theatrical dining experience you seek, ask about hosting a banquet on the Homburg Theatre stage – an experience your delegates will never forget.

The Homburg Theatre seats 1,106 on two levels. It is a wide theatre with two centre aisles.  There is a safety bar on the first row of the balcony which may obstruct some patrons’ view. Please see Accessibility below for access information.

Accessibility

Any guests with special needs should discuss their needs with a box office representative when booking their tickets.

Guests in wheelchairs or who have difficulty climbing stairs may use the elevator located beside the main box office entrance on the corner of Queen and Grafton streets. This elevator will bring you to the lower foyer for access to the box office, the entrance to the Homburg Theatre, The Showcase Gift Shop, Studio1 and Studio 2, and Mavor’s Restaurant. This elevator can also bring you to the Grafton Street Plaza to gain access to the upper theatre foyer, CCOA Art Gallery or Confederation Centre Library.

The building is also accessible through the Richmond Street entrance, where a lift brings you to the foyer level for access to the administration offices, box office, the entrance to the Homburg Theatre, The Showcase Gift Shop, Studio1 and Studio 2, and Mavor’s Restaurant.

Hearing Devices: The Homburg Theatre is equipped with an infra-red listening system. Receivers may be obtained from the Front of House staff on a first-come-first-served basis.

Booster Seats: Booster seats are available in the Homburg Theatre from our Front of House Staff before the performance. These are provided on a first-come-first-served basis.

Concessions

For most of our performances, refreshments and snacks are available before the performance and during intermission. Alcoholic beverages are also served at some of our performances. All snacks and refreshments purchased on site at concessions are permitted into the theatre. Please note that many of our concession products may contain peanuts or peanut oil.
