June 20, 2023 – Nearly 50 hit songs are packed into the lively cabaret show I’m Every Woman, playing at Confederation Centre of the Arts this summer as part of The 2023 Charlottetown Festival.

This year’s Festival includes six productions across the Centre’s three venues – including MAGGIE, The Play That Goes Wrong, and The Songs of Johnny & June.

Sponsored by CAA Atlantic, I’m Every Woman is a musical revue that travels through decades of iconic songs that changed the world. The show features empowering tracks from legendary women, like Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, Chaka Khan, Taylor Swift, and more.

The show stars five powerhouse vocalists who can also be seen in the musical MAGGIE. Festival alumni Michelle Bardach and Nicola-Dawn Brook are joined by new faces Dharma Bizier, Alyssa LeClair, and Clea McCaffrey.

The play is directed and choregraphed by Robin Calvert, who returns for her 18th season with The Charlottetown Festival. Calvert first came to the Festival as a dancer in Anne of Green Gables—The Musical™, and later became the production’s choreographer. I’m Every Woman marks her directorial debut with the Festival.

“This show honours the women who had the courage to speak up and fight for truth, justice, and equality; the women who fought to inspire and ignite change,” says Calvert. “We’re celebrating friendship and love through incredible songs that everyone will want to sing along to.”

Performances of I’m Every Woman run at The Mack from July 3 – September 22. Tickets can be purchased through the Centre’s box office in-person, via phone at 1-800-565-0278, or online at

What are Relaxed Performances?

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.

I agree to receive further communications from Confederation Centre of the Arts for upcoming events, promotions and market research purposes.
