Live at the Centre

After his second award-winning album release last year, Tremors, Andrew Waite has been gaining momentum around the country and is looking forward to sharing some old (and lots of new) material. There will be a full video and audio crew on site to record Live at The Mack, and performances will include a variety, from Waite’s powerful and versatile six-piece band, to intimate solo/duo numbers, to special guests and everything in between!

Andrew released his debut album Burning through the Night in 2015. The debut won the 2016 Music PEI Rock Recording of the Year and was a regional finalist in the CBC Searchlight competition where it garnered the attention of CBC’s Grant Lawrence, who selected the track as one of his stand-outs. “If The Band came from Charlottetown, they might sound a lot like Andrew Waite & the Firm” stated Lawrence. “‘Someone To Hold Me’ could easily have audiences on a national scale swaying back and forth to this chorus.”

What are Relaxed Performances?

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.

Relaxed Performances offered during the 2021 Charlottetown Festival:
