Adult Beginner Ballet
Develop poise and grace through our Adult Ballet class. This program focuses on posture, correct use of muscles, and grace of movement. This class is designed for adult dancers with some previous dance experience; adults with experience in other movement forms such as yoga, figure skating, etc., are welcome to attend.
Adult Dance Workshop
This weekly workshop is a class promoting both the physical benefits and the joy of dance. Each week, we will have a rigorous warm-up that will activate our breath and heart rate, and move into some contemporary dance combinations as well as exploring a variety of other dance styles, linked to the interests of the class participants! Our Intermediate level is designed for dancers with previous experience and basic knowledge of dance vocabulary and movements; our beginner level is designed for those without prior formal dance training, but who have an awareness of their own movement through practices such as yoga, gymnastics, figure skating, or tai-chi. Dance For the Health of It
Dance for the Health of It is a fun fusion of various dance styles, warm-up rhythms, and stretch exercises designed for adults to get the body moving. Participants will develop an awareness of their bodies as they learn the “hows” and “whys” of dance as a form of exercise.
Yoga aligns, strengthens, and promotes flexibility in the body and works to enhance your other movement and mindfulness practices. Participants focus on syncing movement with breath, flow sequences, and fluid movement to access and enhance their inner strength. We can’t wait to meet you at your mat and see where our movement takes us.
